Ze svého oblíbeného dějepisu dodám, že od roku 1686 se farářem a děkanem stává lipenský rodák Jiří Balšánek. Ten se proslavil tím, že dodal velké množství peněz na stavbu nových církevních staveb. Ve městě se dokonce rozšířila fáma, že asi našel našel poklad, protože kde jinde by k takovým penězům přišel.
