★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Osídlení Častrova sahá do 13. století, původní vesnice však ležela poněkud severozápadněji než dnešní. První písemná zmínka o obci pochází z roku 1300. Kostel sv. Mikuláše byl založen kolem roku 1350 Dobešem z Bechyně, pánem Kamenice nad Lipou. O 12 let později – roku 1362 – byla v Častrově zřízena fara. Jako farní je kostel poprvé uváděn až v r. 1384. Roku 1624 fara zaniká a kostel je přifařen k děkanství v Kamenici. Roku 1761 je fara opět zřízena a kostel se stává znovu farním. Současná podoba kostela pochází z přestavby v roce 1722.
Settlement of Castrup dates back to the 13th century, but the original village lay somewhat northwest than today. The first written mention of the village dates back to the 1300s. Mikuláš was founded around 1350 by Dobeš of Bechyně, master of Kamenice nad Lipou. Twelve years later - in 1362 - there was a Pharisee established in Custer. As a parish, the church was first mentioned in 1384. In 1624, the church disappears and the church is annexed to the deanery in Kamenice. In 1761, the church was rebuilt and the church became parish again. The present form of the church dates from the rebuilding in 1722.
