Je uváděn jako jeden z nejstarších kostelů v okolí, neboť první zmínka o něm je již z roku 1390. Nynější vzhled získal přestavbou v 18.století. V 60. a 70. létech byl restaurován interiér, znovu zlaceny sochy zde umístěné, restaurovány obrazy . Instalováno elektrické topení, ovládání zvonů. Při opravě fasády kostely byla nalezena stará krypta s hroby. Byla pořízena rozsáhlá fotodokumentace a znovu byla uzavřena.. V posledních létech bylo upraveno prostranství kolem kostela a kostel získal krásné nasvětlení a stal se významnou noční dominantou městyse. Church of st. Peter and Paul is located in the center of the township in the open area at Halasova Street. It is mentioned as one of the oldest churches in the area, because the first mention of it dates back to 1390. The present appearance gained a reconstruction in the 18th century. In the 1960s and 1970s the interior was restored, the statues placed there again, and the paintings restored. Electric heating installed, bells control. When repairing the church facade, an old crypt with graves was found. Extensive photo documentation was taken and closed again. In recent years, the area around the church was modified and the church gained a beautiful illumination and became a significant night dominant of the township.

Je to opravdu nádherné místo a je velmi příjemné si chvilku posedět na lavičce před kostelem a jen tak se dívat kolem sebe! It is our parish church and I have a lot of memories connected with it. It is a really wonderful place and it is very nice to sit for a while on a bench in front of the church and just look around!

Hned vedle je fara se sálem, pro příležitostné akce a setkání farníků a v patře je centrum Jablíčko pro děti. Opravdu stojí za návštěvu a případně i na mši svatou. It is a nice church, in the middle of the town of Lysice, dedicated to St. Peter and Paul, with a landscaped area in front of him. Next door is a rectory with a hall, for occasional events and meetings of parishioners, and upstairs is the Jablíčko center for children. It is really worth a visit and possibly a Mass.
