Zmínky o kostele jsou již ve 13.století, nicméně husité kostel pobořili a proto byl v letech 1607-1608 opraven a rozšířen. Jeho dnešní podoba pochází z přestavby na konci 19.století.
The beautiful originally Gothic church, together with the adjoining free-standing Renaissance bell tower, is one of the oldest monuments in Miletín. Mentions of the church are already in the 13th century, however, the Hussites destroyed the church and therefore it was repaired and expanded in the years 1607-1608. Its present appearance comes from the reconstruction at the end of the 19th century.
