Dříve zde byla hranice mezi Československem a Německem (Rakousko Uherskem a Pruskem). Proto symbolika místa odkazuje na smíření všech třech národů. Kříž nechal postavit Alois Rudolf, majitel blízké Rudolfovy chaty (Rudolfsheim), v roce 1925 jako poděkování za dobré obchody.
The Cross of Reconciliation can be found on the border between the Czech Republic and Poland, where the Polish Glówny Szlak Sudecki (the main Sudeten trail) joins the hiking trail from Peter's Buds to the Bishop's Hill. Previously, there was a border between Czechoslovakia and Germany (Austria, Hungary and Prussia). Therefore, the symbolism of the place refers to the reconciliation of all three nations. The cross was built by Alois Rudolf, the owner of the nearby Rudolf's cottage (Rudolfsheim), in 1925 as a thank you for good business.
