Bojowy schron piechoty K-S 38 jest jednym z trzech schronów wybudowanych przy obiektach grupy warownej "Adam", mającej być największą ze wszystkich grup warownych w Górach Orlickich. Budowę rozpoczęto w sierpniu 1936 roku i zakończono kiedy we wrześniu 1938 roku, cały obszar włączono do III Rzeszy. Oznaczenie kodowe pochodzi od pierwszej litery nazwy miejscowości w której stacjonowało dowództwo K - Králíky, S - schron (cz. srub) oraz 38 - numeru porządkowego. Nigdy nie został wykorzystany w warunkach bojowych. Twierdza "Adam" jest częścią tak zwanej "czechosłowackiej linii maginota" uznawanej obecnie za unikat w skali europejskiej.
A great place for tourists as well as fans of military technology. The K-S 38 infantry bunker is one of the three bunkers built at the facilities of the "Adam" fortified group, which is to be the largest of all fortified groups in the Orlickie Mountains. Construction began in August 1936 and was completed when in September 1938 the entire area was incorporated into the Third Reich. The code designation comes from the first letter of the name of the town where the headquarters K - Králíky was stationed, S - shelter (part srub) and 38 - consecutive number. It was never used in combat conditions. The "Adam" fortress is part of the so-called "Czechoslovakian Maginot Line", now considered unique on a European scale.
