The oldest surviving mention of Sadská comes from the founding charter of Břevnov Monastery from 993, the most famous period the city experienced in the 11-13 century, when a church school - the Chapter of St. Apolinar with vineyards and also a princely castle with fortifications was founded at the top of the witness hill. Only the church of Sv. Apolináře remained until today. Unfortunately it was closed at the time of our visit, but the place is definitely worth seeing. The Marian Plague Column on the square from 1748 is also impressive.
