One of the country Land Gates avoiding the mountain ranges while transporting amber from north to south while he reverse route servet for salt merchants. In the medievals use by the smugglers (the near spot is still called Smugglers Pass)

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A very nice area, great for hiking even with kids. The Orlice river is quite impressive in this particular part. There are lots of stones in it, which makes even watching the water very interesting. Definitely one of the best places in Orlické hory.
