★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Obec Lštění se nachází na levém břehu Sázavy, v těsném sousedství s obcí Čerčany. Obec je rozdělena do dvou samostatných sídelních útvarů, a to „Lštění“ a „Zlenice“. Vznikala postupně v místě, kde prý původně stávala starořímská osada Lescenaum, kde vojáci římských legií střežili obchodní cestu z Římské říše k Severnímu moři. Historicky nejstarší jsou zbytky hradiště na skalnatém ostrohu nad obcí s pozdějším kostelíkem, který zůstal dodnes zachován. Pravděpodobně kouřimší Zličané, kteří tady v 1. polovině 9. stol. vybudovalí pevné hradiště Lščen či Leščen (Lštění).
 The village of Lštění is located on the left bank of the Sázava, in close proximity to the village of Čerčany. The village is divided into two separate settlements, namely "Lštění" and "Zlenice". It was gradually established in the place where the ancient Roman settlement of Lescenaum originally stood, where soldiers of the Roman legions guarded the trade route from the Roman Empire to the North Sea. Historically, the oldest are the remains of a fortified settlement on a rocky promontory above the village with a later church, which has been preserved to this day. Probably the smoker Zličany, who here in the first half of the 9th century. built a solid fortified settlement Lščen or Leščen (Lštění).
