I do not know how the others, but I was very satisfied. Everything went smoothly and without any problems. Rapid processing, documentation and pick-up are all right. Although I was originally heading for the other doors, I got nice information and an accurate description of where I was going. If I had to come here next time, I certainly will not be stressed. As far as the building is concerned visually, it is not surprising that the tourists are taking photos of it, even when it does not serve as an advent calendar. And who wants to have more insight, let them build on the local observation tower above the city hall :).

I would say the Old Town Hall, the municipality is located in many buildings and it is just an office, it is of no importance to tourists and the locals know it. There should be two signs mista - 1st office and 2nd historical monument.

In itself, a representative building with a decorated facade, in winter it also has a fairytale impression with the surrounding decoration.

The Renaissance building of the old town hall (sometimes also called the Old Town) was built between 1554 and 1559. Its author is the Italian architect Matteo Borgorelli - the court builder of the owner of the local estate, Arnošt Krajíř of Krajek. He decorated it with beautiful sgraffito with scenes from the Old and New Testaments and figures of saints, including the patron saint of the Czech land, St. Wenceslas. In 1640 the building was looted by the Swedes, then it burned down three times (in 1710, 1761 and 1779). The two wings of the building are connected by a baroque cylindrical tower with a spiral staircase, the dominant feature of the building is a large prismatic tower standing on the south side. Renaissance sgraffito was discovered under the Baroque façade in 1890, they were not restored until 1907. Already in the 19th century, the building lost its original function. First in the former town hall, after 1850, the regional court sat, later as an official of the District Office. Next to the Church of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary is the old town hall - the most beautiful architectural example of the Renaissance. The building was built in 1554-1559 by the Italian architect Matteo Borgorelli. The facade of the town hall is decorated with graphic holy biblical scenes. The building consists of two towers, the tallest of which is 31.8 meters high. For only 40 CZK, you can climb it and your gaze opens a picturesque panorama of the entire town of Mlada Boleslav. There are binoculars on the gallery of the tower under the domed roof, the service is paid - you need to throw a coin into the coin acceptor. On all sides of the quadrangular observation deck, on the railing, there are information plates describing all the dominants of the city and natural attractions that open to the visitor's eyes.
