★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Mariánský sloup, případně též zvaný Morový sloup byl postaven v roce 1724 na dnešním náměstí Přemysla Otakara. Bylo to rovných 10 let po skončení velké morové epidemie. V té době, snad kromě válečných událostí, největší pohroma pro lidi.
Sloup je osazen celkem šesti světci, kteří po příslušných modlitbách odvraceli morové rány.
Vrchol kaple přechází do kuželovitého dříku sloupu, na jehož vrcholu je socha Panny Marie Immaculaty, kterou adorují andělé.
Od roku 1958 je Mariánský sloup chráněn jako kulturní památka.
V roce 2014 bylo během rozsáhlé rekonstrukce náměstí ke sloupu přidáno působivé noční nasvícení.
The Marian Column, also known as the Plague Column, was built in 1724 on today's Přemysl Otakar Square. It was just 10 years after the end of the Great Plague Epidemic. At that time, except perhaps in the event of war, the greatest disaster for humans.
The column is fitted with a total of six saints who, after appropriate prayers, averted plague wounds.
The top of the chapel passes into the conical shaft of the column, at the top of which is a statue of the Virgin Mary Immaculata, adored by angels.
Since 1958 the Marian Column has been protected as a cultural monument.
In 2014, an impressive night illumination was added to the column during an extensive reconstruction of the square.
