Pískovcové sousoší je s největší pravděpodobností dílem F. M. Katterbauera a patří mezi hodnotné památky české barokní plastiky. Mariánský sloup je osazen původními sochami sv. Jáchyma, sv. Anny, sv. Josefa a Simeona a novějšími plastikami sv. Václava (z roku 1807) a sv. Jana Nepomuckého (z roku 1863). The Marian column in the eastern part of Chlumec´ Square was built in 1710 by Václav Norbert Kinský as a celebration of the victory of the troops of Emperor Joseph I. and his allies over the French army of Louis XIV. The sandstone sculpture is most likely the work of F. M. Katterbauer and creates one of the valuable monuments of Czech Baroque sculpture. The Marian Column is fitted with the original statues of Sts. Jáchym, Anny, Joseph and Simeon and newer sculptures of st. Wenceslas (from 1807) and st. John of Nepomuk (from 1863).
