★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Velvarské náměstí zdobí krásný barokní morový sloup. Sochařské dílo barokních sochařů Františka a Matěje Tollingerů a kameníka Antonína Falkeho pochází z roku 1719. Sloup byl postaven také na paměť morové nákazy, která město postihla v roce 1713.
Velvar Square is decorated with a beautiful baroque plague column. The sculptural work of the Baroque sculptors František and Matěj Tollinger and the stonemason Antonín Falke dates back to 1719. The column was also built in memory of the plague that affected the city in 1713.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Mariánské sloupy patří přirozeně do českých měst s historickým jádrem. Tento pochází z roku 1716 a oslavuje přežití morové epidemie z roku 1713. Na vrcholu sloupu pokrytém oblaky stojí Panna Marie Imacculata, pod ní je skupina světců.
Marian Columns naturally belong to Czech towns with a historical center. It dates back to 1716 and celebrates the survival of the plague epidemic of 1713. At the top of the pillar covered with clouds stands the Virgin Mary Imacculata, below it is a group of saints.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Bez votivního sloupu si hist. náměstí ani nedovedu představit. Tento je udržovaný s upraveným okolím. Koho to zajímá, tak tvůrci byli v letech 1716 - 19 Antonín Falke a Fr. Tollinger.
I can't even imagine the historic square without a votive pillar. This is maintained with a modified environment. Who cares, the creators in the years 1716 - 19 Antonín Falke and Fr. Tollinger.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Mariánský sloup uprostřed náměstí. Byl vystavěn na památku obětí moru, který město postihl v roce 1713. Na vrcholu barokního sloupu je socha Neposkvrněné Panny Marie. Sloup sám je nádherný. O náměstí to rozhodně říct nelze. Připadá mi, jako by se tady zastavil čas. A navíc. Těšil jsem se do muzea technických hraček. To je ale otevřeno pouze v sobotu a v neděli.
Marian column in the middle of the square. It was built to commemorate the victims of the plague, which the city suffered in 1713. At the top of the baroque column is the statue of the Immaculate Virgin Mary. The pillar itself is beautiful. You can not say it about the square. It seems to me that time has stopped here. Plus. I was looking forward to the technical toy museum. This is only open on Saturdays and Sundays.
