★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Náměstí představuje jeden z hlavních přestupních uzlů v Brně. Bohužel jeho organizace je více než zmatečná a pravděpodobně je dána postupným přidáváním více a více linek. Dochází tak ke kuriozním situacím, kdy například tramvaj stojící v zastávce stojí přes silnici, takže blokuje průjezd trolejbusům a autobusům. Nebo to, že autobus napřed celé náměstí objede dokola než se dostane na svou koncovou zastávku. Plánuje se ale celková rekonstrukce, hlavně by to chtělo zbořit tu barabiznu uprostřed. Jinak v okolí je Mendelovo muzeum a linky na nádraží, Českou, kousek je Špilberk.
