Spolu se Sezimovým Ùstim a Planou nad Lužnicí pak vytváří městskou aglomeraci s více než 45 tisíci obyvateli. Historické jádro je městskou památkovou rezervací. Je regionálním centrem turistického ruchu. Lákadlem pro návštěvníky je zejména historie husitského hnutí.Je zde mnoho krásných budov.
Tábor is a town in the South Bohemian Region, 50 km north of České Budějovice on the river Lužnice. It has about 34,000 inhabitants and is thus the second largest town in the region after České Budějovice. Together with Sezimový Ústí and Planá nad Lužnicí, it forms an urban agglomeration with more than 45,000 inhabitants. The historic core is a city monument reserve. It is a regional center of tourism. The main attraction for visitors is the history of the Hussite movement. There are many beautiful buildings.
