The museum in Uhříněves started collecting monuments related to the history of the town since 1925. It was opened on October 28, 1925. However, after fourteen years of its existence, it was closed during the Nazi occupation. At the beginning of 1956, all the inventory was handed over to the district museum and archive in Říčany. The museum used to be housed in the monumental house No. 380 on Hus Square, called Legionářský, which was built at the suggestion of a local branch of Czechoslovak legionaries instead of a monument to fallen soldiers in the First World War. Today it has its own building near the town hall. Unfortunately, it was closed at the time of my visit due to a pandemic, so I will repeat my visit to Uhříněves in the summer.
