★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great museum which deserves a better name. From steam trains and spitfires to ornate antique astronomical instruments, you can easily spend several hours visiting the full range of exhibits - the main hall is the highlight, but don't skip the others. Everything has full English translation. Excellent value for money - I just wish they'd call it the Technology Museum or something, so I don't have to explain to visitors that it's much better than it sounds !

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Compared to Vienna technical museum that we have recently visited, this one is rather smallish. But it's very well organized (except perhaps multi-floor "transportation" that connects to the main stairway only at the bottom floor.) You can freely pick the most interesting exhibitions and won't march yourself to death. I recommend "printing" and perhaps "architecture". Some others e.g. "astronomy" can be a bit dissapointing. The museum promotes Czech industry and technical thought a lot, which is cool, but you have to be invested into it first.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ One of the best museums I have visited?. The huge variety of inventions from past to nowadays is impressing ? Very nice collection of first models of cars, motorcycles, bicycles, and planes. There are also two amazing and huge steam locomotives that were based on coal. Beside this there are big halls related to the inventions in astronomy, architecture, civil engineering, television, printing, transport, photography, metallurgy, mining and others. It takes hours to see everything, so plan you visit there in advance ?

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A fantastic museum full of some great exhibits. The main hall is very impressive, the trains are huge! The main issue was accessibility. We had a pushchair and had to carry this up and down loads of stairs. The main hall has no lift so you either leave the pushchair or carry it up and down. Other than that this is a great museum and definitely worth visiting whilst in Prague.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I usually spend 3 to 4 hours in this kind of places. I’ve spent 4.5 hours in this one and no more because someone was waiting for me somewhere else. Transport: 2.5 hours, but then, on the sides of the building: the itinerant exhibition: 1/2 h, photography, chemistry, clocks 1/2 h, household appliances, glass, sugar making, architecture, printing press and astronomy: 1 h… I could have spent another couple of hours gladly!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ One of our favourite museums in Prague. You could literally spend the entire day inside
So many individuals things to see and experience
I loved that most of the exhibits were related to Czech inventors, makers or producers, like the contact lenses exhibit.
Our kid loved it too. So many hands on exhibitions
Have a stop at the local cafe for lunch. Food was actually great there!
You are legends guys!!
