V roce 2006 se Novosedly na Dyji potýkaly se stoupající vodou na polích a v okolí obce. Valila se sem voda z Rakouska, kde se protrhla hráz. Díra byla dlouhá 25 metrů a unikalo jí 50 metrů krychlových vody za sekundu. Voda z protržené hráze se tak dostala do bezprostřední blízkosti domů a zaplavila nádraží.
Budova nádraží je od centra města vzdálená asi 1 km.

In 2006, Novosedly on the Dyje struggled with rising water in the fields and around the village. Water flowed here from Austria, where the dam burst. The hole was 25 meters long and leaked 50 cubic meters of water per second. The water from the ruptured dam thus got in the immediate vicinity of the houses and flooded the station.
The station building is about 1 km from the city center.
