★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great pub. Nice welcoming staff and really interesting interior. I can recommend Kapitánská číše - mead with beer. Feel free to ask bartender anything about Olomouc. He's the best and will tell you everything.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This place is unique. Firstly, before you even go in, there is a model of what looks like a drunken Musketeer in the window. Check it out. It's awesome. When we actually went inside, there was a woman sitting in the corner dressed in a period costume, hand sewing a garment of some description. On seeing us, she parked her sewing, and brought us menus. An interesting selection of drinks. Some very tasty beer, and an huge selection of Spirits. Really nice stone arched building with various alcoves. Unfortunately, I was dragged away to a restaurant, but I could happily have spent the rest of the evening here.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The Citadel is my favorite place to drink in Olomouc. They always have an interesting assortment of beer on tap and its a friendly and cozy spot. I definitely recommend checking it out.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The landlord is a brilliant host, he remembered our orders and served them to our table, and at the end of the night asked us how many drinks we had and charged accordingly which was a unique service. We also got to try a few different drinks and learn about Czech culture. We loved the decoration and atmosphere inside too, very warm and authentic. He's travelled around the world and has clearly put a lot of research into creating a distinctive and charming pub. Will definitely visit again! (Dan+Vanessa, England)
