★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Řekl bych že tohle nádraží se nemá za co stydět.Hodně lidí totiž už zapomělo jak to tam vypadalo a taky fungovalo když byli komunisti u moci.
I would say that this station has nothing to be ashamed of. A lot of people have forgotten what it looked like there and it also worked when the communists were in power.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Ostravské hlavní nádraží se za poslední dobu poměrně zlepšilo zejména co se týče venkovního okolí. Dobrá je i dostupnost MHD a možnost zaparkovat. V samotné hale je dost možnosti se občerstvit a v klidu počkat na spoj.
Ostrava's main railway station has improved relatively recently, especially in terms of outdoor surroundings. Good is the availability of public transport and the possibility to park. In the hall itself there is enough opportunity to refresh and wait for the connection.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Na to, ze je nadrazi po rekonstrukci, uvnitr vypada porad zastarale. Najdete zde vse, co potrebujete: pokladnu, infocentrum, pekarnu, trafiku, bankomat, wc - to je znacne predrazene, ale kdyz musis, tak musis. :-)
Doporucuji nenavstevovat v pozdnich hodinach o samote, protoze pred nadrazim se zdrzuji bezdomovci, narkomani, alkoholici a jina nebezpecna verbez. Sice je nedaleko policejni sluzebna, ale evidentne je to marne.
Due to the fact that the station is after reconstruction, inside the meeting looks outdated. Here you will find everything you need: a cash register, information center, bakery, newsagent, ATM, toilet - this is very expensive, but if you have to, you have to. :-)
I recommend not visiting in the late hours in solitude, because homeless people, drug addicts, alcoholics and other dangerous verbas stay in front of the station. Although there is a police station nearby, it is obviously in vain.
