★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Pomník připomíná od roku 1960 prvorepublikové demonstrace proti neuspokojivým sociálním podmínkám práce továrních (zejména textilních) dělníků v meziválečném Brně.
Autorem pomníku je architekt a sochař Jan Dvořák.
Pomník stojí na místě mezi řekou Svitavou, Svitavským náhonem, bývalou dráhou do Tišnova a vlečkou do textilky, kde nacházeli útočiště k demonstracím dělníci z továrny Weiss-Hanak (později Vlněna) stojící na místě dnešního hypermarketu, z okolních textilek a dalších továren. V prostoru za továrnou, na místě dnešního pomníku se nacházelo shromaždiště dělnictva z okolních továren, kde se dělníci seskupovali a společně vycházeli na protestní manifestace často vedené komunistickou stranou do vnitřního města.
 Since 1960, the monument commemorates the First Republic demonstrations against the unsatisfactory social conditions of the work of factory (especially textile) workers in interwar Brno.
The author of the monument is the architect and sculptor Jan Dvořák.
The monument stands on the site between the river Svitava, Svitavský náhon, the former railway to Tišnov and the siding to the textile factory, where workers from the Weiss-Hanak factory (later Vlněná) standing on the site of today's hypermarket, from surrounding textile mills and other factories found refuge for demonstrations. In the area behind the factory, on the site of today's monument, there was a gathering place of workers from the surrounding factories, where workers grouped together and went together to protest demonstrations often led by the Communist Party to the inner city.
