By far the best monument I've visited recently. The power of that place with so much turbulent history! I was literally chilling on my back.

A bit of history for this beautiful place: From time immemorial, the so-called Bolatice-Koberice Wars (historically also the Cabbage Wars) have taken place in this area, set in the middle of the picturesque village of Bolatice. This protracted conflict between the rock supporters of his residence has been known since prehistoric times, specifically from the Late Stone Age. At that time, a hunting tribe originally lived in this area, which, with the discovery of cabbage and the discovery that cabbage can be added to sirloin, became a fully agricultural tribe. Cabbage has become a valuable export item throughout the Hlučín region. However, sales for the local tribe fell after a dust-free copy of this convenience by the tribe living in nearby Kobeřice. Thus began a protracted conflict between the two municipalities, which was sporadically interrupted by events of a smaller nature, whether it was world wars or the annexation of Hlučínsko to a power. However, nothing could prevent the age-old animosity between these villages. Everything changed in 2018. In the spring of this year, this monument was created. This brought the question to the hearts of all Bolatič residents (Koberans have no heart): Does this conflict make sense at all? After much contemplation on this issue, the citizens came to the conclusion that it made no sense to continue fighting. And so it was several hundred years after the fight. (Which doesn't mean we beat them in football ... maybe). Thanks to the signing of the Urbiš-Plaskura pact, it was finally possible to focus on the destruction of another village (Sudice). The plan is still under development and no further information can be communicated ... In the photo below we can see the fortification object of the Bolatice side from the 1930s. The front of the puppy clearly shows the emblem of the village and a threatening inscription towards the aggressors. In the second photo we see a tank and several Kobeřany advancing along the northern edge of the village of Bolatice. This photo dates back to 1963. In that year, there was a major turnaround in the war - the Koberans broke through the Obeana lines and dragged several citizens of Bolatice into captivity. There they were exposed to inhuman treatment (eg the song "Our Kobeřice scored a goal"). in Kobeřice was interpreted as satisfaction for the battle in 1271, when the Bolatice Party used Zelnica destructive as ammunition for slingshots, which was bacteria destroying the cabbage crop. The entire Koberice crop then had to be burned and Bolatice retained its cabbage primacy ...

The memorial is a really beautiful reminder of this long-standing dispute, which, in my humble but important opinion, helped raise awareness of this complex and complicated conflict. The atmosphere of this place is quite captivating and engaging, especially the guided tours by the very knowledgeable historian Jonáš Plaskura. I give four stars only because of disagreement with the disagreement between Kobeřice and Bolatice, because I am a half Kobeer (I don't mean dropping sheaves from my nose) and I have had many unpleasant experiences because of this. Regardless, I definitely recommend visiting.
