★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Pomník z tmavé leštěné žuly má tvar trojbokého jehlanu, na jehož špici je zlacený český lev ve skoku. Podstavec lemují bronzové lipové ratolesti a stuhy s nápisem. Autorem pomníku je akad. sochař Otmar Oliva, který přiblížil jeho symboliku při slavnostním odhalení: „Tři odboje, tři ostré úhly, tři hrany, tři stuhy… tři příležitosti k zamyšlení.“ Pomník stojí v parčíku mezi budovou úřadu městské části a kostelem svatých Janů, na místě nacisty odstraněného pomníku obětem první světové války. Na znovuvybudování pomníku byla z iniciativy starosty městské části Brna-Bystrce Svatopluka Beneše vypsána veřejná sbírka. Odhalení, které proběhlo 28. října 2008, se zúčastnil také bývalý válečný letec Emil Boček.
 The monument made of dark polished granite has the shape of a triangular pyramid, on the top of which is a gilded Czech lion in a jump. The base is lined with bronze linden branches and ribbons with the inscription. The author of the monument is acad. sculptor Otmar Oliva, who described his symbolism at the unveiling ceremony: "Three resistance, three sharp angles, three edges, three ribbons… three opportunities for reflection." monument to the victims of the First World War. A public collection was announced for the rebuilding of the monument on the initiative of the mayor of the Brno-Bystrc district, Svatopluk Beneš. The unveiling, which took place on October 28, 2008, was also attended by former war pilot Emil Boček.
