★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Pomník se nachází v ulici Pod Školou. Je
z roku 1960 a je na něm text: „Hrdinným
osvoboditelům a obětem fašismu 1938-
1945 obec Velatice“. Na území obce zemřeli
a byli pohřbeni čtyři ruští vojáci, jeden na
svahu Vinohrádek, další u kříže u staré
silnice a na Rovinách, na poli Cyrila Bočka.
U školy byl pohřben 21letý poručík
Jančuškin z Kazaně. Zemřeli zde i tři
němečtí vojáci, na Vinohrádkách, nad
mlýnem a Němka na Maxlůvce. Později
byla těla exhumována a převezena na
ústřední hřbitov v Brně.
Z Velatických občanů zahynuli Josef
Kuklínek při odklízení nevybuchlé munice
a Václav Šenkyřík při náletu v německém
Halle, kde byl nasazen na nucené práce.

 The monument is located in Pod Školou Street. Yippee
from 1960 and contains the text: “Heroic
liberators and victims of fascism 1938-
1945 village Velatice “. They died in the village
and four Russian soldiers were buried, one on
slope Vinohrádek, another at the cross at the old
road and in Roviny, in the field of Cyril Boček.
A 21-year-old lieutenant was buried at the school
Yankushkin of Kazan. Three also died here
German soldiers, in Vinohrady, above
mill and Němka on Maxlůvka. Later
the bodies were exhumed and transported to
Central Cemetery in Brno.
Of the citizens of Velatice, Josef died
Kuklínek when removing unexploded ordnance
and Václav Šenkyřík during a raid in Germany
Halle, where he was deployed to forced labor.
