Pension Patriot - Výprachtice 325

We liked the pension, it was beautifully warm everywhere, the children could be in the pool, we blamed ... The owner respected the right to privacy. He knows that the sick do not go on vacation ... Dinner is excellent, homemade and with dessert.

+ spacious, clean rooms + you will be satisfied if you do not plan to spend any time in the pension or choose only for one night - breakfast still the same, cheap ingredients, no hot variant (parks, scrambled eggs, pancakes ...), fruit and vegetables cut into the smallest Kounsky - dinners do not match the price, food small and unflavoured, dessert bun size 3x5 cm. The pension is well aware that there is no other dining option nearby and therefore does not force them to improve. This is the reason why guests order dinner, not that it would be such a bomb as the owners always write. I recommend going to the pension u Jana (2 km by road) or ordering from a restaurant in Lanškroun - they will deliver without any problems - guest house directly by the road, unfenced to the road - there is no bin for sorted waste, there is not a single one in the whole pension where it would be possible to throw out plastic or glass - the pool is very cold, the hours are divided by the owners, so for example a family with a small child can be given at 20:00 - not accommodating guests before 4 pm or not offering any alternative, even though half of the pension was occupied, I find it very unprofessional. It was not about us, but we witnessed the owner's conversation with new guests. Talking to them through the door and sending the family with the children after a long journey looking for a restaurant where they can wait two hours is the peak of arrogance. The situation can always be solved to everyone's satisfaction, either by offering coffee in the common areas or at least by recommending a place in the area. I recommend owners not to take reviews as an attack, but as to find room for improvement. Unfortunately, there is no self-reflection in all the answers, although the allegations are quite repetitive.

Beautiful guest house with excellent access to the ski slopes, ideal for family holidays. The children enjoyed it a lot - especially in the pool, in the playroom and in the gym. Spacious apartments where nothing is missing, clean and cozy everywhere. We can only recommend and will be happy to return. The worst thing was to listen to the children on the way back home, that in the Patriot Pension they wanted to be ten nights and not two :)

My family and my wife's family spent the holidays at the Patriot. Everything was absolutely perfect, the cleanliness and willingness of the staff was absolutely unprecedented. We also experienced a well-prepared New Year's Eve evening. The pension also has a smaller wellness center with a swimming pool and infrared sauna (there is no door to the sauna), the water in the pool is a bit colder, but it has already been explained under another review and it can be kept absolutely fine. Breakfast and dinner were tasty and sufficient, we did not miss anything. There's only one thing to improve - coffee - wasn't good, but that's the only complaint about an otherwise great stay. We definitely recommend and thank everyone who took care of us!

In the introduction, I would like to write that the last two evaluations mention everything important and I completely identify with them. The extended weekend at the Patriot guest house left us with a very bitter taste, mainly due to the fact that from the beginning to the end of our stay we felt extremely unwelcome. The cleaning lady's undisguised gestures towards the other guests (in response to the children playing) or the constant supervision in the common room, which is probably not a common room but a dining room with opening hours, are just the "icing on the cake" of this failed stay. They positively evaluate the cleanliness of the pension, the size of the rooms and the possibility of using a projector.

We chose the pension as a group of 5 families with small children (18 people) because of the common room, children's corner and breakfast included. That sounds nice, but nowhere do you read before arrival that the common room is only open from 7:30 to 9:30 and then from 15:00 to 22:00. When you finally put the children to bed in the evening and you want to have a little chat and drink downstairs, you also have to go to the gym or to the gym, where there is no furniture, you are not allowed with glass and the room is directly adjacent to the rooms on the floor. Standard breakfast, but dinner absolutely does not correspond to the price of 189 CZK, and neither the size of the portion, the ingredients nor the dessert the size of a canapé will save it. But a warm welcome or helpfulness is also not a matter of course. If you arrive in the morning and ask if you can't leave your things in the ski room, for example, and go skiing before check-in (until 16:00), for example? It is not possible and the staff pretend to be annoying. Pension clean, for couples or individual families okay. If you are a larger group that cannot be crammed into one of the rooms, then not here.
