★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Vzpomínka na vítěze Závodu míru Vlastimila Moravce, který zde počátkem dubna 1986 zahynul při sjezdu z prudkého kopce. Narazil zde do otáčejícího se nákladního automobilu.
Moravec byl známý svými úžasnými a nebojácnými sjezdy z kopců. Jeden z nich mu v Polsku zajistil i nejtěsnější vítězství (o tři sekundy) v Závodě míru. Ale sjezdy z horských vrcholů mu vynášely ovace i v USA a Mexiku. Bohužel, ten poslední sjezd se mu stal osudným...

Hrob Vlastimila Moravce je ve východočeské vsi Spy, kde se narodil, poblíž Nového Města nad Metují.

 A memory of the winner of the Peace race, Vlastimil Moravec, who died here at the beginning of April 1986 at the steep hill exit. He came here into a rotating truck.
Moravec was known for its amazing and fearless downhill rides. One of them has secured even the toughest victory (in three seconds) in the Peace Race in Poland. But downhills from the mountain peaks brought him ovation in the US and Mexico. Unfortunately, the last congress became fatal ...

Vlastimil Moravce's grave is in the eastern Bohemian Spy village where he was born, near New Town over Metuji.
