Jan Krejčí (28. února 1825 v Klatovech - 1. srpna 1887 v Praze) byl český geolog, pedagog, publicista a politik. Byl autorem první české učebnice geologie. 10. Jan Krejčí (born: February 28, 1825 in Klatovy, died:August 1, 1887 in Prague) was a Czech geologist, educator, journalist and politician. He was the author of the first Czech textbook of geology. On 10th June 1899 a committee on the status of the monument was established. The author is Jan Koula, stonework was elaborated by Vojtěch Pták's company from Klatovy. The ceremonial unveiling took place on 3 and 4 August 1901. It is a truncated pyramid with curved walls (the appearance of the Eiffel Tower), at the top of which is a tailor's bust, at the corners are groups of rocks.
