A simple but worthy memorial to the fallen in the second. war on our territory. Talking on the adjacent panel is also worthwhile.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Das ist die Gedenkstätte für den Absturz eines britischen Lancaster Bombers zum Ende des Krieges. Die Besatzung kam dabei um. Einige Adorfer Buben (u.a. mein Vater) stahlen die Maschinengewehrgurte und brachten diese Im Wald zur Explosion. Die jungen Herren verbrachten dann einige Tage in großer Sorge denn nach den Verursacher wurde gesucht .
This is the memorial to the crash of a British Lancaster bomber at the end of the war. The crew perished. Some boys from Adorf (including my father) stole the machine gun belts and detonated them in the forest. The young gentlemen then spent a few days in great concern because they were looking for who was responsible.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Es ist ein Ort den ich nur an Hand eines Geocaches gefunden habe. Leider ist dieser überhaupt nicht ausgeschildert. Aber wir waren erstaunt was wir über diesen Ort in Erfahrung gebracht haben. Die Informationen auf der Tafel lassen einen nur erahnen was hier passiert ist. Ist einen Ausflug wert.
It's a place I only found using a geocache. Unfortunately this is not signposted at all. But we were amazed at what we learned about this place. The information on the board only gives an idea of what happened here. Is worth a trip.
