★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Toto místo je bývalé popraviště umístěné vedle Dlouhé stezky za dnešním Znojemským mostem, kde je dodnes připomíná původní gotický sloup umístěný na svahu vedle schodů. Zde popravovalo pouze občas, zato zde podle starého práva byla katům předávána těla všech jihlavských sebevrahů.
Když se například v roce 1586 oběsila na půdě jistá dívka jménem Weissová, kat její mrtvolu shodil z půdy dolů, zavezl na toto popraviště a zde ji na popel spálil. Podobně v těchto místech kat se svými pacholky zahrabal také podomka, který se v roce 1609 oběsil pro změnu na půdě domu U zlatého lva na dolním náměstí.
