Přírodní park Meandry Botiče - Práčská 1882/14a

Magical place. I have been walking here since childhood and it is a really beautiful piece of nature.

Botič is one of my favorite rivers, especially for its meanders, beautiful nature. In its vicinity you will find beautiful places for walks, which are called Meandry Botiče Nature Park.

like everything that changes, so does this place. From the point of view of my 50-year life in this part of Prague, this place has changed a lot. The last street was Střemchová, there were a few houses in it and behind them was a green sloping overgrown nature, full of flowers, especially tears of the Virgin Mary, various shrubs and bushes, of which I remember mainly thorns. The "wilderness" was walked, or rather the slope was slipping to Botič. A short stop on a tiny playground opposite the school and then hurry to Botič. Even today, you can walk around Botič to Hostivař, but today there are many fewer trees, the riverbed has changed slightly and more has changed in Hostivař, near the bridge, where it has been regulated a bit. I used to see a kingfisher here, but I haven't seen it in 15 years. The "cherry tree" has also changed, overgrown. Nobody cares about trees, it's one jungle. I remember the security guard who came here. What worked is a fence for horses that belong to Toulcov's Court. It's also nice to watch the paddlers who "go crazy" here every year at Botič near Rio Botičo, when a little more water is released from the dam and it's a ride. Unfortunately, this year was not. We must also not forget the floods that occurred here years ago, it has long been known where the highest level was, thanks to the dirt and deposits of everything possible on the trees. It's nice to take a trip and start under the highway in Záběhlice, walk under the highway to Podle Náhon Street, turn right around the pond by the chapel, past the playground to the chateau. Za Potokem Street, among the gardens. It doesn't matter if I continue left or right, the road will always lead me back to Botič, around which I can walk to Hostivař and further to the dam. After all, the trip around the whole dam is also great. They usually walk on asphalt, where there are a lot of people, but you can also walk on the other side. As a trip, it's great. Perhaps it will remain so nice around Botič for some time to come, and when another housing estate is built here on Trojmezí, it will be interesting to see where the fences will be built and where only residents will go. Meandry Botiče is a beautiful example of what nature can do, a tree that looks like an open duck's beak deserves special attention. The tree has been disfigured in this way for a long time and it does not interfere with it in any way, it is beautiful. There are trees of respectable heights and dimensions, but unfortunately they are already felled here. You can find bear garlic here in the spring, but I won't reveal exactly where. There is also a nine-strong flower growing here, but as it is called ... there is still peace
