Prokopský lom Prokopský lom rozděluje přírodní rezervaci Prokopské údolí na západní a východní část, a odkrývá další velice zajímavý průřez vrstvami devonských usazenin. Na protější stěně lomu objevil ve dvacátých letech minulého století známý sběratel František Hanuš bohatá naleziště zkamenělin pěkně zachovalých trilobitů, velkých mlžů, gastropodů a mechovek. Zdejší část údolí se nazývá "Daleje", a pokud půjdete Dalejskou ulicí, minete v široké esovité zatáčce zvláštní budovu, která určitě upoutá vaši pozornost. Jde o podzemní vojenský objekt, vzniklý z bývalého lomu a nedostavěné nacistické podzemní továrny a považovaný například za vojenské velitelství. Přesný rozsah a účel objektu je oficiálně dosud utajován. Za druhé světové války objekt byl zčásti přebudován na podzemní továrnu Junkers (pod krycím označením Kali) na letecké díly. Byly zde vykopány tři rovnoběžné tunely o délce cca 300 metrů a výšce až 8 metrů, kde se údajně počítalo s parkováním obrněného vlaku, a v podzemí se nacházelo i malé nádraží s překladištěm. *** Prokop Quarry Prokopský Quarry divides the Prokop Valley Valley into the western and eastern parts and reveals another very interesting cross section of layers of Devonian sediments. On the opposite side of the quarry, the well-known collector František Hanuš discovered rich fossil deposit of well-preserved trilobites and other species in the twenties of the last century. The local part of the valley is called "Daleje", and if you following Dalejská Street, you will pass a special building that will surely attract your attention. It is a subterranean military object, created from a former quarry and an unrecognized Nazi underground factory and considered (probably) as a military headquarters. The exact scope and purpose of the object is officially classified so far. During the Second World War, the building was partly rebuilt to the underground Junkers factory for aircraft parts. There were three parallel tunnels, about 300 meters long and up to 8 meters high, where maybe the armored trains could park, and there was a small railway station with a dock in the underground. Cross on the Rock Another interesting place on Dalejská Street, lying near the underground building at the quarry is the cross on the top of the rock above the Dalejský brook. It reminds the place where the Baroque church of St. Prokop once stood. Built between 1711 and 1712 on the top of the rock over the entire valley, the single-baroque baroque building also had a turret, from which the sound of two bells sounded regularly. The dominant of the interior was the beautifully decorated main altar, fitted with a copy of the miraculous painting of St. Prokop. Above the altar there was a statue of the Most Holy Trinity and the Schwarzenberg family, who guarded the building. In the 1960s, St. Prokop's church was destroyed. When you go to Dalejská, do not forget to look above the tree tops, although it may be a bit of a problem because of the relatively busy traffic.
Prokop Quarry The Prokop Quarry divides the Prokopské údolí nature reserve into western and eastern parts, and reveals another very interesting cross-section through layers of Devonian sediments. On the opposite wall of the quarry, in the 1920s, the well-known collector František Hanuš discovered rich deposits of fossils of nicely preserved trilobites, large bivalves, gastropods and mosses. The local part of the valley is called "Daleje", and if you walk along Dalejská Street, you will pass a special building in a wide S-bend, which will definitely catch your attention. It is an underground military facility, created from a former quarry and an unfinished Nazi underground factory and considered, for example, a military headquarters. The exact scope and purpose of the building is officially still classified. During World War II, the building was partly rebuilt into the underground Junkers factory (under the code name Kali) for aircraft parts. Three parallel tunnels with a length of about 300 meters and a height of up to 8 meters were dug here, where the parking of an armored train was allegedly planned, and there was also a small railway station with a transhipment station underground. Cross on a rock Another interesting place on Dalejská Street, located near the underground building at the quarry (roughly between the quarry and Prokop Lake) is a cross on a rock above the Dalejská stream. It is reminiscent of the place where the Baroque church of St. Procopius once stood. The church, built between 1711 and 1712, looked down on the whole valley from the rock. The single-nave Baroque building also had a turret, from which the sound of two bells was regularly heard. The dominant feature of the interior was the beautifully decorated main altar, fitted with a copy of the miraculous image of St. Prokop. Above the altar was a sculpture of the Holy Trinity and the emblem of the Schwarzenberg family, who protected the building. In the 1960s, the Church of St. Procopius was destroyed.
