Came here for a quick snack, but stayed for the atmosphere. The coffee was really tasty and went great with some warm croissants! I got into a conversation with the barista, Bryan, which was a really nice experience! He was able to tell me a lot about Prague and cool places to visit! Hopefully ill be able to visit again very soon!

We liked the local atmosphere here but the food was normal. The dumplings in the chicken soup were better than the dumplings with beef. The beef dressing of the beef was good but the fried cheese was not tasty.

Colleagues at work invited me to settle business issues not online, but over a pleasant cup of coffee. The destination was the Republic. I decided to share my impressions of visiting the institution and leave a review about this place. Inside the coffee shop is quite small, but very cozy. Lots of greenery at the entrance. Large bar counter. Stunning lamps in the form of cups on the wall. Comfortable chairs in the back room. Bryan - sympathetic, polite and attentive, gives the impression of a pro Coffee was prepared quickly, there was no confusion with orders. The drinks themselves are beyond praise.

Pros: One star for location, centric but in a quiet narrow street. The other star is for interior, eventhough some chairs when I tried were in my opinion low for the tables which obligates to an uncomfortable posture. Lighting is calming and the music selection and volume level allows for conversation. Cons: The lady working there the day of my visit I considered, as others have mentioned: rude. (I should have read the other comments pointing out just this issue and not just looking at the rating). To begin with she didn't say good morning at my arrival and she couldn't bring my order to the table despite the fact I was the only customer atm. Not informative when I asked for a vegetarian sandwich, limiting the option to croissant with only jam, (you have to pay extra for some average jam from the store), and only one flavor. Really? Her tone of voice is remarkably 'dry' and monotonous, almost condescending, maybe it's the Saturday's mornings mood, or if she had a bad start of the day who knows? Product: The lettuce in the sandwiches on display looked old despite the fact it was before 12 md. Not much variety in pastries or whatsoever. The coffee was ok. Do not expect information for coffee nerds like me regarding, country of origin, if comes from certified farms, etc. Finally and most irritating during my visit was the constant banging against a tin can when emptying the expresso machine scoops which spoils severely the peaceful atmosphere mentioned above. Remarks: All and all I won't come back to this establishment nor would recommend it to my aquintances. There are just too many coffee shops in Prague (not from franchise) to choose from. P.S. When this lady attended a Czech customer her tone of voice and attitude was much 'warmer'. Remember these opinions are based on a one-time visit only and with one staff member.

The place is small but cosy, located close to the centre. Great selection of coffee and snacks. Considering the location not too pricey. Worth a visit while in Prague

We enjoy our breakfast in the morning by 10. The place is cute and cozy, but they might need a bit more staff to help cleaning and serving the guests. The Croissant are tasty, the chai latte and cappuccino had really lovely latte art on it❤️

We should have brought our money somewhere else I rarely give a negative review but I definitely did not have a great experience with this coffeehouse. We tried it here since it has a 4.6 rating, but was left disappointed and left me wondering where the 4.6 stars are coming from. Cons: -Rude staff. This definitely threw me off since we had all pleasant experiences in the restaurants/cafes we visited in Prague aside from this one. No greetings/pleasantries when we came inside (a simple good morning would be appreciated since the cafe was empty when we arrived). When I asked if what’s their Mocha made of, staff sarcastically answered “It’s half coffee and half chocolate that’s why it’s called mocha.” I asked since mocha in Vienna also means one shot or double shot of coffee. I then gave our orders, and when I added some orders, staff told me “Order at once and pay at once” in a reprimanding tone. Worst part was their second customer (which was standing behind me) heard it. It then gave an awkward atmosphere. Considering the HUGE competition of coffee culture in Prague, they should train their staff more. -Coffee served was half cold. How can you enjoy your coffee on a winter day? Pros: -near city center -fast Wi-Fi The experience left a bitter taste. I would sure come back in Prague but never again in this coffeehouse.
