Large appartment, good quality.

Positive: Great location , friendly staff. Good value for money.

This was a bit different from the United States when you rent a condo. We had to check into the apartment in the restaurant on the first floor where they said they just give us the key and they are only there to run the restaurant. So if you have any issues I am unaware how they would get resolved. For instance we had an issue with the wifi, and the person who checked us in said that she couldn't fix it. Since the wifi was provided by a wireless router in the room I just reset it and we were able to use default PW. They also didn't change the towels. The apartments were about a year old and were really nice, mostly furnished by IKEA. It had floor heating so it took forever to warm up. We had a very comfortable two nights and enjoyed brekkie both mornings which was your typical continental breakfast held down in the restaurant, which was Italian by the way. They spoke really great English if you cannot speak Czech, since English is the common language in most of Europe. There is also underground parking which is nice.

Positive: Localisation is great. Few steps from Śnieżka tracks. Building style is great, all from wood. Underground parking, free of charge. Nice people.. Negative: Restaurant was closed. The rest was great..

Positive: The apartment is very nice and in a good central location. Almost everything was provided - eg towels, sheets, pillows, pots and pans, etc - and was of good quality.. Negative: What we found strange was that no soap was provided at all - no dish soap, no shower soap, and no hand soap - although they did leave two dishwasher tablets. What was totally infuriating is that they did not tell us about this before we arrived even though we were in contact a number of times before arrival. So we got there late at night and all the shops were closed and my wife had to wash her hands with shampoo. And when we complained the woman who handles the guests, she said “It isn’t my issue, I understand, but you should complain to the owner directly”. So here you go....

Positive: Location-beatiful nature nearby. Negative: Kovarna Residence is not a hotel. The accommodation concept is based on short-term hiring flats on tourist from diverse owners. Which means there is no reception desk as usual, if you need anything, you have to discuss it with the staff, who run the restaurant on the ground floor,have actually nothing to do with the accommodation itselt. So If you a have a discrepancy to ask about/solve, you will get no right support here. Would be normally not a big problem, if we would not get such a shabby appartment compared to what we actually booked (photos on Booking). The appartment was not really clean (sticky floor,greasy fingerprints in the bathroom and toilet), furniture and walls were damaged, the sunblinder controler in both rooms were broken,so that there was pretty dark inside. For almost 600€/3 days it was an uncosy place to stay, rather a youth hotel,but definetely not what we decided for according to the Booking.com photos. The pictures were made long time ago by an advert agency, as the building was completely new. Totally different to the reality. We reached after couple of hours the Dutch owner, who promised us to find a solution and compansate this matter, because we decided to leave this uncosy place earlier. We contacted him nicely 2x afterwards, but no reply till now (even though I can see the status of all messages on WA as read). No promised solution, no good service quality, no customer approach, no recommendation from us at all!.

Very friendly and professional 'lady of the house' (Domenika). Same for the cook. There were some minor flaws like the absence of a toilet paper roll holder. So 4.5 would be more precise. (Nothing is perfect) 4 stars wouldn't be enough due to the perfect service.

Very nice and spacious apartment in good location for various activities. In winter the ski bus shuttle to the Javor lift leaves every 10-20 min closeby. In summer you are right next to the monkey park and the relax park. Not to forget the lift to the Snežka when the weather is good. There was no breakfast in the restaurant during our stay but there is a bakery and a small supermarket nearby, so it was easy to have your own breakfast in the apartment.
