Great hotel, poor managment. My friends stayed there during July 2017 and I visited them every day there. The residence is nice but need so many improvments. The biggest problem was the manager who I wanted to punch after 5sec of seeing him. He will passive agressivly ignore your requests, lie to you or ignore when you need a solution. Without this idiot this place would be great!

Residence Karolina is our favourite place to stay when my wife and I are in Prague and we usually like to book apartment 11 which is our favourite apartment as it is very comfortable and we feel at home in the apartment. Residence Karolina is a great location for sight seeing and their Tesco branch nearby to stock up on food. The reception staff are very helpful and friendly and professional . We will certainly be book again with Residence Karolina.

Spent 2 wks there end of May. Great city for a family with small kids. Reasonably priced foods compared to US, supermarket close by, off the noisy tourist spots but you can still hear the drunks late at night. Did a lot of walking. Took a trip to Kutna Hora but only after we made sure we had a safe and kid friendly driver (see below). I feel awful for giving these guys a bad review because several of the employees were super friendly but I hope that I am just being honest and not biased and I hope you will have a better experience !!! Here's a few suggested potential improvements: - Apartment furniture all have sharp corners. Awful for kids. My three year old son busted his head open one of these and was bleeding for a while and now has a big scar on his forehead. We tried our best to make the place child safe but there are so many of these furniture sharp edges positioned at just the wrong height for a kid. - Windows can be easily opened by my three year old with no safety locks on any of them. We were terrified the whole time he would open a window and fall to his death. - Washer/dryer combo, too small, too noisy, makes master bedroom too humid and hot, and it takes forever to finish (maybe 6 hours) - Front desk reservation friendly and professional but driver's booked through the front desk arrived late often. One driver we booked to come back from a late evening event did not bring car seats for our kids as was promised by the front desk. He also drove like a crazy man and was as rude as they come. His name was Bart, I think. Avoid him and his company at all costs.

Great place. Huge apartment, fully renovated, clean and equiped. We stayed in room 52, with beautiful view on old town and the castle. Residence is 5 min from the old Town square however it was very quiet and calm, so after whole day we could chill and relax. I really enjoyed the time. Highly recommend!

I will start by stating that we are returning customers, we have been coming to Karolina Residence for a number of years and the reason for writing this review is due to the constant degradation of the apartment and maintenance. It feels like the company that manages this apartment (they have others as well), is doing the bare minimum to keep the place going as a holiday rental, instead they are focusing on long term rentals. But I wish to start from the positive to explain why we keep returning: 1. Location - it is really the best. If you are a newcomer to Prague, you can walk anywhere from here. If you need the metro/tram it is a 5 min walking distance. Many pubs and restaurants are near by. Considering all that it is still quiet at night! 2. Spacious apartments for a decent price. The rooms are large and comfortable and for the price of 110 EUR per night in this area it is a good find. 3. 24h desk help - this particular apartment is located right next to the "Prague City Apartment" office and there is someone there 24/7. It is very convenient considering the fact that apartments are usually private and you have no immediate assistance. You can check-in at any hour, you don't have to coordinate, pick-up the key at another location and etc. You can order groceries and packages and they are happy to deliver them to your apartment. Now to the negative side: 1. When booking, you select a specific apartment # because they differ and after coming a few times you already have your favorite. But - that doesn't mean you will get what you ordered. In about 40% of the cases the apartment we booked was occupied by a long term tenant and we were given a different apartment. Since we book a head of time (sometimes even 5 month in advance) it is clear that things can change, but we expect, at least, the courtesy of notification in advance. This time we received no notification about the apartment change that was done in November (we came mid-Dec) and when asked why, we only got a shoulder shrug. If you cannot guarantee the apartment, don't offer the option to select. 2. The maintenance of the appliance and the furniture is low. Due to a broken shelf on the fridge door, we spent our first morning cleaning 2 bottles of beer (we bought) of the floor, since the shelf simply fell off from the weight (the bottles were placed there by the employee who collected our grocery order). The drawers in the closet space are very hard to open, and it has been like this for years. 3. Wi-Fi... it is absurd that at the end of 2019 you can't get a decent signal when you have an access point in every room. The signal went on and off all the time, even their own "smart" TV couldn't work with it. The so-called (hard to believe it actually happened) router change the technician did after 3 days of complaining, did absolutely nothing. 4. All in all it feels like they are in it for the long run, meaning if you stay for long. Another small example is the fact that the office used to have complementary coffee and tea and it is gone now. It was so nice coming from a flight, cold and tired (we only come during the winter) and having a nice hot cup of tea while preforming the check in. But if you plan on long term tenants - there is no need for that. All in all - up until now I guess the pros outweigh the cons but, I'm sure I will look harder next year for a replacement.

Stayed here twice - it's fantastic, we wouldn't even look anywhere else. Lovely spacious apartment, warm and cosy (we stayed in January), all amenities we could ask for. Close to everything, easy walking to all major attractions, but quiet and safe at night. And 24 hour assistance - literally! At 5am we turned on a light which blew a globe (and the circuit breaker). By 5.20 the lovely lady on duty had assessed the problem, found a ladder, and reset the circuit breaker. Fabulous service, perfect holiday apartment.

We stayed at RESIDENCE KAROLINA, 4 adults. We had the 1 bedroom apartment. When we called to book the apartment the lady on the phone was super friendly and helpful and even gave us a free pick up shuttle from the airport. When we got to the apartment the process for the check in was super easy, the office is right next to the apartment. The friendly staff helped us to the apartment and showed us around. Our stay was great. The apartment was fully furnished, clean, with plenty of cutlery, appliances and much much more. There were clean towels, clean appliances, dishes, and utensils. They even had extra toilet paper, tissues, complimentary coffee and tea. The apartment is fully secured so you're guaranteed a safe stay. When we wanted something the staff were quick to respond and help us which was really great. The checkout process was again very easy and smooth. They booked a car for us to the airport as well. We thank RESIDENCE KAROLINA staff for the great experience we had at Prague. The apartment was so close to the main central locations and sites we wanted to see. The convenience of only walking a few steps to literally everything we wanted whether it's site seeing, restaurants, bars, markets, supermarkets etc. Our stay was great and I would highly recommend everyone to book with RESIDENCE KAROLINA.
