Restaurace U Černého Orla - Vnitřní Město

I'm not writing reviews, but this restaurant literally lifted me off my chair. Already when choosing from the stand menu, the waiter told us several times to sit down and what they have and what we have. It can be seen that the restaurant must have problems with the guests, because this way it is not normal for guests to force the restaurant. We waited quite a long time for ordering two salads, but that didn't bother us in any way, as we were sitting on the square in beautiful Telč (the garden of the restaurant is probably the only advantage). When the food brought us not only it didn't look tempting but it didn't taste good either (chicken pieces totally soaked in oil and at the same time completely dry meat, the salad consisted of cucumber, tomato and white pepper, two salad leaves). a moldy salt and pepper shaker should have been enough for the table + a kydanec of some bought majda) We said to ourselves that the food just didn't work out, so we'll return it, no disaster will sometimes fail (I returned the food only for the second time in my life) .. but ATTENTION it was obviously a problem, the waiter deducted half the price from us and mentioned several times that he had to mark it that they would miss it .. (so he actually wanted to say pay the whole and go ??) He also tried to tell us that this is what a salad should look like (after I told him not to be angry but it really doesn't have to look like this salad) I learned that their salad looks like this and in the end we found out that the chef didn't make those salads here much (during what we were sitting in the garden they came out out about 8 pieces 2 our). Didn't she make salads? Rather, he can't do them. I also learned that another table full of French gourmets (that's what the waiter called them) also got salads and they really enjoyed it, so like why we don't like it (like I'm not going to argue with the waiter on holiday if he's lying to me or what). Next time, it would probably be appropriate to apologize to the customer first, asking why the food is not right and whether it is possible to fix it (as any decent company does). This company solves this by paying for the food anyway, you still have to defend yourself and leave in disgust. The original price of the salad was just under 200 crowns. When paying, the waiter did not even bother to ask if we pay together or want to pay by card. He printed the account together and payment by card would obviously bother him a lot (we have to go inside). About the fact that the cutlery is together in a wooden stand outside - I'd rather not even comment. I am always happy to support good Czech gastronomy, but not really! For the restaurant: If you can't do it, learn it. If you don't like it, don't do it! And for those who read the review just like me after visiting the restaurant, don't worry and fix your taste in a small cafe nearby, where they make great coffees, desserts and main dishes.

Too bad we didn't read the reviews before we came here with the kids. In my opinion, the staff tried too hard. The restaurant is playing at something it definitely doesn't have… The food was really terrible. Garlic soup average and unfortunately completely soaked bread. The second photo is baby food and a little saltier. Another photo was a flat chicken steak with mashed potatoes with bacon and beans with bacon. Price of food including side dish 250 CZK ?? If it was worth it, I certainly don't mind, but the side dish was literally 3 tbsp. It was visible through the steak and the thawed beans were not roasted, but boiled in water… The wife's spinach gnocchi was completely boiled. If they want to play something, they should change the chef…. You don't find yourself really well here….

We visited Telč during a visit and we didn't even think that it is possible to find such a restaurant nowadays. As if you want to experience a lot of retro (there are also trips for that today) and so he will take it as a retro experience, he will be satisfied. I don't know why, but I remembered the last episode of Homolka. Probably also because similar music was played here and I remembered the scenes with the female voter. Even the environment has not changed in at least 40 years. What must be acknowledged is probably the owner, who is trying to grab from the street whoever he can. Nothing surprising for us, maybe common in Krumlov at the time. You just want to make money and survive, you have to try. Better than sitting and waiting for a guest to find you. In addition, he managed to serve the entire restaurant inside and out (and it was full) and still attract others. Many could learn. But ... the question is whether it's not counterproductive. The more people lure, the more people will understand that next time they won't. The food didn't inspire us and it didn't really taste good. It was like that, but I already know how some participants in the program Placed feel. At the owner's expense, he wants at least quite a bit of money for food by today's standards. So the two stars are the maximum I'm willing to give. It is a pity that the memories of such a beautiful city will then be ruined by such a restaurant. If the owner likes his town, he should change the chef.
