★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Nice restaurant with typical Czech dishes. You can sit inside or outside the restaurant on the spacious terrace. The restaurant is usually 90% full. The staff is friendly. When I was there last time, I was surprised that drinks were ordered from one waitress, while food was ordered from another. We waited for the soup for about 15 minutes. It was salty and greasy, and the pastry was sprinkled with sea salt, making the food even saltier. I was there several times and almost always the food was too salty and greasy. Some foods are better, others worse. I think regular guests like this type of food because it goes well with good beer. If you are looking for a lighter meal that will not burden you for the whole day or you are very hungry and you are looking for a restaurant for a quick lunch, I would recommend another than this restaurant in Písek (for example, Italian in the square). If you have the time and taste for a typical (very hearty) Czech dish, this is worth it.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The food is great, meat made all to the right tenderness. Interior very traditional Czech. Beautiful garden view. The only minus is the staff were unenthusiastic and didn't seem to care much.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The best Restorant in Pisek. There time is stoped design of pub is realy old. But kitchen is fantastic. No fast food only typical czech kitchen. I can fully recomend food Svickova and Vidensky gulas. This is absolutly delicious. Waiting time for food is just a minute, inspire that was about 12:00. Very nice and quick service. Clean toilet. Also good for kids.

If you want to have a grear beer you wont probably find better place.
Meals are very well prepared with a good taste.
Staff is nice and friendly. I definitely recomend this place

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ disgusting establishment. they brought me a burger with burnt bacon. when I asked to change, they told me “they do it in the Czech Republic” then I asked for warm water, in the check they counted warm water for me as tea at 40Kc. the waitresses are a bit dumb, which is very annoying. I left this establishment angry and very dissatisfied.
