The peak of Komáří hůrka was a very important ore district. In the northern top slope, mining was first mined on the surface and from the 15th century onwards. A large number of galleries were built here, which interwoven the top of the mountain. Near the mountain hotel and the top station of the cable car is a large pinka (depression), which was formed here after the most important mine in this ore district. Richard's viewpoint is built on its edge. Pinka was created by extracting greisen ore with a large content of Cínovec, pyrite and chalcopyrite and later declining the excavated areas of the old galleries. Pinka is up to 75 meters deep and is the largest in its area. From the viewpoint you can enjoy the view of a large part of the vast pinky and see all the way to the German part of the Ore Mountains. The top of Komáří hůrka was a very important ore district. The northern top slope was first mined from the surface and from the 15th century it went deep in the ground. There was a large number of tunnels that intersected the top of the mountain. Close to the mountain hotel and the top station of the cable car is a great "Pinka" (depression), which originated from intensive mining in this ore district. Richard's perspective is built on it´s edge. This depression originated from the extraction of greisen ores with a high content of tin, pyrite and chalcopyrite and a later downswing of the scrubbed space of oldtunnels. Pinka is 75 meters deep and is the largest in this area. From the viewpoint, you can enjoy the view of a large part of the dip and also watch the German part of the Ore Mountains.
