As part of the project to renovate a holiday cottage, I requested and found quality craftsmen, a professional approach and invaluable advice on painting and maintenance of timbered buildings. The cottage was completed on time and according to all agreements and a construction diary was properly kept. During the implementation, the company always kept order on the construction site and all communication between the investor, the contractor and the construction supervisor was correct and factual. From the customer's point of view, I want to pick up the moment when we were from Ing. Jan Mifka invited to a workshop where the log house was carved and we also saw this part of the process.

We started the construction of a log cabin on the banks of the Sázava River at the beginning of April 2020. The event was preceded by a production visit in December 2019, where Mr. Mifka showed us everything in detail - during construction. We slapped each other and agreed on a rough construction of dried glued prisms 20 x 20 cm (the construction does not fit, as when using non-dried prisms / solid wood) + beating the gables and roof with decks, which allows insulation of the roof from the outside foils for them, PIR insulation for foils, other foils for PIR insulation, then counterlaths and slats, and finally our own covering - we gave Tamac brown-brown Bramac) with so-called supra-rafter PIR insulation. It is a more expensive and more complicated variant, but it brings the great advantage of perfect insulation of the attic together with the recognition of the roof connection in the entire open attic space - great !!! Everything went according to plan and agreement, and within 14 days the log cabin stood on the prepared base plate. During the construction we fine-tuned the small details. In addition to quality work and compliance with all deadlines, I also appreciate the fact that the company Roubené stavby s.r.o. was able to quickly and operatively deliver other material beyond the scope of the contract - eg exterior coating (on the recommendation we chose PNtech), other prisms for completing the roof with PIR insulation, long screws (30 cm) for attaching countertops, etc. To sum it up, there were no complications and everything went according to the agreement. I can only recommend Mr. Mifka's company to other builders. We are still in contact with each other, because sometimes I need advice in the next stages in completing a construction that we are already doing on our own. In August, Mr. Mifka visited us - went through and checked the whole building (everything is OK) and advised how to get to the dovetail joints of the timber and also pointed out the need to tighten the screw joints in the roof connection. The wooden house is gradually growing into beauty - but there is still enough work for it ...

When choosing the contractor of our dream log house, Doubravka, the key was for us: the special approach of the owner, the opportunity to look into the production and see the successful implementation. Mr. Mifka and his team met everything beyond expectations. After the first meeting, we finally had two more visits to competing companies, but we still knew who would build our log cabin for us. It is necessary to highlight the unceasing help and answers to the countless questions we ask before the actual signing of the contract. Mr Mifka's pro-customer approach is first class. On his recommendation, we chose the designer Mr. Karban, with whom it was also a pleasure to work. During the implementation itself, it is necessary to emphasize: very helpful communication, daily inspection of the construction, friendly atmosphere on the construction site. Last but not least, a clean construction site that has always been properly cleaned.
