The functionalist building of the station from the 1930s underwent a partial renovation some fifteen years ago, which rather damaged its appearance and did not add to the cosiness and user-friendliness of the station. On the ground floor there is a fast food and cash registers, on the first floor there is a waiting room and a toilet. Barrier-free access is missing, the platform at the other track is narrow and delays the movement of passengers. The car park has insufficient capacity. All this should be corrected by the just started reconstruction, which is to last until November 2022.

The railway station is in a nice and good location, longitudinally above the left bank of the Elbe, in close proximity to the road bridge to Vědomice. Roudnice Castle is only a few minutes walk, as well as the city center. Especially impressive is the Church of the Nativity of the Virgin Mary with the buildings of the convent, which I have admired perhaps a hundred times from a moving train, but so far I have never been able to visit the complex. As for the station, it looks a bit outdated. If you want to pay short, you need to be informed in advance, but what is calling to heaven is the absence of any reasonable snacks. On Saturday afternoon, the only option is a literally "looted" vending machine, in which there was only a plastic bottle of hot energy drink to drink. No buffet or refreshments anywhere in sight. There, if someone set up a small bar, then perhaps the passenger has to rip his hands off. Especially at the time of summer lockouts, when almost every connection has a delay of many minutes, but not so great that you can have coffee or beer in the square. But I go to Roudnice for over 10 years and some places are still the same. The roof of the railway station was repaired several times and people are still running on the water, they are outdated, I buy tickets elsewhere because I feel uncomfortable there and in winter there is a terrible winter. The only place where it is nice, so by the Elbe, but on the way to it under the bridge how many times I hit a few weeks pigeon pigeon and nobody does anything about it.
