★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Francouzi pod velením generála D.J.Vandamma se tady v srpnu 1813 střetli se spojenými vojsky rakouskými, pruskými a ruskými. 10 000 padlých... Základní kámen k pomníku položil car Mikuláš v roce 1835, pomník podle návrhu Pietra Nobileho byl postaven o rok později.
 The French under the command of General D.J.Vandamma here in August 1813 clashed with the combined Austrian, Prussian and Russian troops. 10,000 fallen ... The foundation stone of the monument was laid by Tsar Nicholas in 1835, the monument designed by Pietro Nobile was built a year later.

Wonderful place. By the way, the language of the Lions of the Chains has to do with the monument :) or vice versa ...

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Nedostatečné označení vjezdu na parkoviště. Někdy se nedá. vystoupit z auta pro velký smrad z hnojení na okolních polích. Krásný pomník i procházka k nedalekému hromadnénu hrobu.
Insufficient marking of the entrance to the parking lot. Sometimes you can't. Get out of the car for a big stink of fertilizing on the surrounding fields. Beautiful monument and a walk to the nearby mass grave.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Je tady krásně. Pohodu ovšem narušují kolem jedoucí auta a také trochu vůně hnoje všude okolo. Nicméně na chvilku zmizet z Prahy a pokochat se náší matičkou zemi je velmi příjemné.
It is beautiful here. However, the well-being is disturbed by a moving car and also by the smell of manure all around. However, to disappear from Prague for a while and enjoy our mother country is very pleasant.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Wer sich für die Geschichte interessiert, kommt an diesem Denkmal nicht vorbei. Informationstafeln vor Ort in verschiedenen Sprachen. Früher war auf dem Parkplatz mal ein Imbiss, den es aber leider nicht mehr gibt.
Die Anlage wird gut gepflegt!
Anyone interested in history cannot ignore this monument. Information boards on site in various languages. There used to be a snack in the parking lot, but unfortunately it is no longer available.
The facility is well maintained!
