About Rybářství Chlumec nad Cidlinou, a.s.

Pokud bychom se chtěli stát svědky první výstavby rybníku, museli bychom se vrátit až do 14. století. Nejzajímavějším obdobím z hlediska vzkvétání tohoto řemesla je ale staletí 15. a 16., kdy se o jeho největší rozmach postarali Páni z Pernštejna. Sami byli velmi zdatnými hospodáři a věděli, jak blahodárný vliv mají rybníky na okolní krajinu a s tím související chov dobytka.

První roky třicetileté války probíhaly na českém území, což se samozřejmě podepsalo i na podobě tehdejší krajiny. Mnoho rybníků bylo v této době zničeno i z důvodu přechodu k intenzivnějšímu typu zemědělství.

Po roce 1945 byla část rybníků znárodněna. V tomto období ale vzniká také Rybářství v Chlumci nad Cidlinou, které prošlo po roce 1989 několika změnami, které vyústily v založení společnosti Rybářství Chlumec nad Cidlinou, a.s.

Letos jsme koupili porcovaného, baleného, bez šupin od Rybářství Chlumec, dovoz domů přes kosik.cz. NAPROSTÁ SPOKOJENOST. Nejenom, že chutnal výborně, ale bylo to úplně bez práce. Porce byly pěkné a dva týdny v mražáku se na rybím mase nijak neprojevily. Until last year, we bought carp outside for a tub for Christmas. Last time he was overfed, fat, and smelled of mud. This year we bought bagged, packaged, without scales from Rybářství Chlumec, import of houses via kosik.cz. ABSOLUTE SATISFACTION. Not only did it taste great, but it was completely out of work. The portions were nice and the two weeks in the freezer did not affect the fish meat.

I am spoiled from Australia where fresh and healthy Pacific fish and seafood are widely available but I can say the fish produced by this company are excellent. I bought a fresh trout from Rybarstvi Chlumec a.s. in TESCO and it was PERFECT. All great signs of freshness - the fish had clear eyes (not cloudy which is sign of old stock) and still had the protective slime on its body and smelled of water, not of fish! It was top! So I can definitely recommend. Also IMPORTANT POINTS TO REMEMBER WHEN BUYING FRESH FISH IN CZECHIA: 1) Farmed Norwegian salmon and sea trout sold in many Czech Republic supermarkets is unfortunately the most toxic food you can get, due to pellets from Asia they feed the fish with, which are full of heavily toxic chemicals such as mercury or cyanide. Also, the fish farms use tons of medication to treat various fish diseases in the tanks. 2) Many of the fresh sea fish sold in the Czech Rep. supermarkets are actually thawed! I personally don’t have good experience with fishmonger in Kaufland where I bought dodgy fish where freshness was highly questionable. But sometimes it can be okay so be vigilant when buying from there. 3) Finally - the freshest and probably most healthy fish you can get for great price is hands from the local fisheries. They are many across the country but some operate only on local scale and are too far from Prague but if you have the chance to travel, go for it. But Rybářství Chlumec nad Cidlinou a.s. has an excellent quality and variety of the fish yet is able to supply its produce on a large scale so it can be bought in Czech supermarkets. Kudos to them!
