V letních měsících se zde pravidelně pořádá neckyáda, v zimních se děti učí bruslit a starší hrají hokej.
Svou návštěvnost si získal především po své revitalizaci, která probíhala od října 2013 do dubna 2014.
Revitalizace rybníku obnášela odbahnění, výstavbu sedimentační nádrže, tůňky, opravu hráze, výstavbu bezpečnostního přelivu, požeráku a odtokového koryta na rybníku.
