★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Moje srdeční záležitost. Kdysi jsme s partou nadšenců chtěli tento unikátní hrad rekonstruovat pouze za pomoci středověkých technologií. Celé to spadlo pod stůl, v podstatě (jak už to tak v životě bývá) kvůli ženské. A přitom byl projekt připraven na 90%. Tak sem aspoň chodíme s dětmi na výlety. Je tu krásně a absolutní klid.
My heart affair. Once, a group of enthusiasts and I wanted to reconstruct this unique castle only with the help of medieval technologies. It all fell under the table, basically (as it is in life) because of the woman. At the same time, the project was 90% ready. So at least we go on trips with the children. There is a beautiful and absolute peace.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Šenkenberk, hrad rakouského rodu Schenků u Olbramkostela na Znojemsku, je veřejnosti málo znám. Doplácí také na to, že Znojmo a jeho okolí je bohaté na tak kvalitní hrady a zámky, že ve srovnání s nimi nemá hrad Šenkenberk příliš co nabídnout. Avšak vzhledem k tomu, že hradní zřícenina je dodnes poměrně výrazná a okolní lesy a rybníky s možností koupání působí na poutníka uklidňujícím dojmem, neměl by ani Šenkenberk zůstat zcela zapomenut.
Šenkenberk, the castle of the Austrian Schenk family at Olbramkostel in the Znojmo region, is little known to the public. It also suffers from the fact that Znojmo and its surroundings are rich in castles and chateaux of such high quality that, compared to them, Šenkenberk Castle has little to offer. However, as the castle ruins are still quite pronounced and the surrounding forests and bathing ponds have a reassuring impression on the pilgrim, even Šenkenberk should not be completely forgotten.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Ruins of a mediaeval castle. Only accessible by walk, very few people around so peaceful and quiet. There is not much left from the castle - just a couple of walls but the forest around it is beautiful.
