★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Nejmladší česká přehrada. Výstavba přehrady trvala celkem asi 10 let, od roku 1987 do roku 1997, kdy byla stavba oficiálně předána do správy Povodí Odry. Zatopená plocha čítá na 870 ha a před zahájení stavby bylo nutné nejprve zbourat množství obydlí, nacházejících se v místě dnešní nádrže. Po přehradní hrázi, vysoké téměř 65 metrů, vede silnice do Bruntálu.
Slezská Harta je nesmírně turisticky a rekreačně zajímavým místem. Na přehradě je možné se plavit jak vlastní lodí nebo si loď k vyhlídkové plavbě pronajmout.
Okolím Slezské Harty vede naučná stezka po vulkanitech Nízkého Jeseníku. Z nádrže vytéká řeka Moravice.
Na březích přehrady se nachází celkem 13 obcí, které tvoří dohromady Mikroregion Slezská Harta. Jsou jimi obce Bruntál, Dlouhá Stráň, Horní Benešov, Leskovec nad Moravicí, Lomnice, Mezina, Milotice nad Opavou, Moravskoslezský Kočov, Nová Pláň, Razová, Roudno, Srtaré Heřminovy a Valšov.
The youngest Czech dam. The construction of the dam lasted a total of about 10 years, from 1987 to 1997, when the construction was officially handed over to the administration of the Odra River Basin. The flooded area is 870 ha and before the construction began, it was first necessary to demolish the number of dwellings located on the site of today's reservoir. The road to Bruntál leads along the dam, almost 65 meters high.
Slezská Harta is an extremely interesting tourist and recreational place. It is possible to sail on the dam as your own boat or rent a boat for a sightseeing cruise.
An educational trail through the volcanics of the Low Jeseník runs around Slezská Harta. The river Moravice flows out of the reservoir.
There are a total of 13 municipalities on the banks of the dam, which together form the Slezská Harta Microregion.
