Jaroslav Ježek State School - a kindergarten, primary school, practical school and basic art school for the visually impaired is located in the Vrbnov Palace (also called Chotkov House) in Loretánská Street. It is originally a Renaissance house with Baroque (Jan František Bruntálský from Vrbno) and later modifications. An educational institute for the blind was established in 1837 in the palace and in the neighboring house U kanonu. The two-storey house with an arcaded arcade was created by gradual reconstructions from the third quarter of the 16th century. The building with several wings extends between Loretánská and Úvoz streets and creates two inner courtyards. The palace is valuable for its Renaissance parts, vaulted spaces. Highly valuable are the three representation halls of the first floor with stucco and painted decoration. Jaroslav Ježek State School - kindergarten, elementary school, practical school and basic art school for the visually impaired are located in the premises of Vrbnovský Palace (also called Chotkovský House) in Loretanska Street. It is originally a Renaissance house with Baroque and later modifications. Educational institution for the blind was established in the palace and in the adjacent house "U kanonu" in 1837. The two-storey house with an arcades has been gradually rebuilt since the 3rd quarter of the 16th century. An object of several wings spreads between the streets of Loretanska and Úvoz and creates two inner courtyards. The palace is valuable for it´s Renaissance parts and arched premises. Three representative halls of the first floor with stucco and painting decoration create the historical highlight here.

A special school for the visually impaired at a high level, whose teachers can very well prepare their students for practical training. Personally, I evaluate very positively that the instructors of spatial orientation teach students that they should use the white stick for orientation in addition to the blind, but also severely visually impaired.
