★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Nejstarší pravděpodobné zmínky o vsi pocházejí již z roku 999 a vztahují se k založení Ostrovského kláštera v Davli, kdy Skřipel sloužila spolu s dalšími obcemi jako hospodářská základna pro provoz kláštera. Zdejší archeologické nálezy však dokazují osídlení starší, a to už v dobách raného osidlování české kotliny. První písemná zmínka o obci pochází z roku 1232. Skutečnou ozdobou obce je krásný kostel svatého Šimona a Judy na návsi. Dnes tu žije kolem 130 obyvatel.
The earliest likely mention of the village dates back to 999 and relates to the founding of Ostrov Monastery in Davle (Prague), when Skřipel together with other municipalities served as an economic base for the operation of the monastery. The local archaeological findings, however, prove the settlement of the older, already in the early settlement times of the Czech basin. The first proven written mention of the village dates back to 1232. The real highlite of the village is a beautiful church of St. Simon and Jude at the village square. Today, around 130 people live here.
