A very special and interesting place is the height dominant of the village Tupadly. Multiply the resulting impression by two if you visit the site in the middle of winter. There used to be a fortress called Kostelec, which was severely damaged during the Thirty Years' War. It was not until 200 years later that the romantic patron Antonín Veith, the owner of the Liběchov estate, entered the scene. In 1840, he began construction of the Slavín chateau with Moorish elements and 4 planned towers. Due to financial problems, he managed to complete only one octagonal prismatic tower, which began to serve as a tourist lookout tower in 1873. Since 2002, the building has served as a meditation center for the Buddhist association Samadhi. There is no money for such a necessary reconstruction yet ... The object is not (except for exceptions) normally accessible - I was lucky and took a few photos, unfortunately I only took photos with a mobile phone and in bad weather, so the result is very poor, but perhaps it will serve to imagine travelers who will not get inside. The place is interesting, unfortunately for those interested in sightseeing, the private area of ​​the castle is mostly closed. We didn't mind because we knew about this condition, but I understand that if someone is planning a trip here and only comes across a fence, they are disappointed. We were more disappointed by the closed access to the Devil's Heads not far from here

Closed for several years. Possibility of listening to Buddhist songs over the fence. In the street below the castle, Tupadly 76, there will soon be a mobile café "Disappointed with the prospect".

Unfortunately, this castle is owned by a private individual and is said to be open once a year. It's a pity such a distance and none of it.

From a distance, nice to look at, you will walk a relatively steep path ending in a nice rocky alley and at the end you will be disappointed with a closed gate.
