Excellent use of the historic mill building

Pleasant and clean environment.

Today I was in the Silesian Education Center for the training of the Building Act and I was very pleasantly surprised by both the quality of the course and all the additional services :). Rich snacks, drinks and a hearty lunch were served at noon throughout the training. The staff of the center was smiling and the overall environment of the center made a very pleasant impression on me. There is nothing to complain about, I will definitely be happy to visit other similar trainings here again.

- formerly Janeček Mill The origin of the mill dates back to the 19th century. It is not known exactly when the Fryštát mill was born at Mlýnec, perhaps sometime in the first half of the 19th century. First it belonged to the town, then it was bought by private owners J. Poppek and K. Puff and from them it was bought in 1849 by Karel Fiedler. He had the mill rebuilt in 1859 - 1860, and it was an important business enterprise, as evidenced by important reports relating to 1865. At the time of the trade show in Cieszyn, the owner was awarded a silver medal for his products and the miller Karel Fiedler became mayor of Fryštát. In addition to his mill, his son also took care of a small hydroelectric power plant. Before the First World War, the mill was bought by the town and after the war it was owned by Mr. and Mrs. Friedl. A year later the mill burnt down and a new one was built. The most important reconstructions and extensions were carried out in 1923 - 1924 under the leadership of the builder Alois Golasowski, who gave the buildings an interesting appearance today. From 1932 until 1954, the Fryštát mill belonged to the Janeček family, and so this complex of buildings was named Janeček Mill. At the time of our greatest glory, we would find on the bank of Mlýnka a mill building, adjacent residential buildings, a sawmill, a workshop, a hydroelectric power plant, a farm building and of course a mill ditch. The mill passed the hands of many owners. In 1954, everything passed into the hands of the state. The mill served its original purpose for only five years, then turned into civil defense warehouses, a few years ago there was a feed mixer and after the Velvet Revolution, the depository of the State District Archive in Karviná settled in the mill premises. In 1992 it was returned to its original owners. However, the Janeček family sold the mill immediately.
