The archaeological monument reserve of the Slavonic Přemyslid Hradiště with an area of ​​7.2 ha in the chateau park above the current chateau was mentioned by Kosma in 1040-1061 and in the founding document of the Litoměřice chapter from 1057. The original castle was one of the prince's administrative castles, but also protecting the state border. Its area was protected by three transverse ramparts, which delimited the inner area and the forecourt: the outer rampart, now almost destroyed on the east side, the middle rampart with a wide moat and the lower rampart on the west side. Archaeological research in 1952 and 1961–1966 found the construction of a massive middle rampart, revealing a number of settlement buildings, including the remains of log buildings and a skeletal burial ground. Hradiště was an important border fortress and at the same time the administrative center of the Přemyslid Blín province. It occupied more than seven hectares, around which it was fortified. The entrance was from the south side. It was built at the end of the tenth century and lasted until the middle of the thirteenth century. ...
