Floriána z roku 1763 patrona hasičů, hutníku,kominíků,hrnčířů a pekařů kterou tehdy nechali postavit radní Moravské Ostravy.Socha má za sebou těžký osud.V šedesátych letech byla odstraněna komunisty protože šlo o náboženský symbol. Do roku 1967 ležel v trávě zámku v Kravařích než byl přemístěn ke kostelu v Hrabůvce. Po náročné opravě se vrátil zpět na Masarykovo náměstí v roce 2008.
Sochu restauroval ostravský sochař Jan Gajda.
Socha byla vysvěcena biskupem ostravsko-opavské diecéze Františkem Lobkowiczem.
Baroque stone statue of St. Florián from 1763, the patron saint of firefighters, metallurgists, chimney sweeps, potters and bakers, who were then built by the councilors of Moravian Ostrava. The statue has a difficult fate. It was removed by the Communists in the 1960s because it was a religious symbol. Until 1967, it lay in the grass of the chateau in Kravaře before it was moved to the church in Hrabůvka. After a demanding repair, he returned to Masaryk Square in 2008.
The statue was restored by the Ostrava sculptor Jan Gajda.
The statue was consecrated by the bishop of the Ostrava-Opava diocese, František Lobkowicz.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Bardzo ciekawy i ładny pomnik świętego Floriana patrona strażaków. Pomnik znajduje się na rynku w Ostrawie koło kolumny. Pomnik nie poprawny w czasie komuny. Warto zobaczyć i przejść się po rynku miejskim, odwiedzając muzeum. Postać świętego Floriana warto porównać z innymi pomnikami przedstawiającymi tego świętego, szczególnie w katedrze na Pradze w Warszawie.
A very interesting and nice monument to Saint Florian, the patron saint of firefighters. The monument is located in the square in Ostrava, near the column. The monument was not valid during the communist regime. It is worth seeing and walking around the town square, visiting the museum. The figure of Saint Florian is worth comparing with other monuments depicting this saint, especially in the cathedral in Praga in Warsaw.
